Prestatyn Town FC is pleased to announce the signings of Connor Shackleton and Ross Weaver.
Both players return to the club having been vital members of the squad which won promotion back to the Welsh Premier League two seasons ago. Coming through the ranks at Tranmere Rovers and Wrexham respectively, they represent a further injection of quality into a side that has produced some top performances over recent weeks.
Full of praise for his latest additions, Neil Gibson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Shacks and Weavs back to the club. I enjoyed working with them both over the last 4 years. They are exactly the sort of players we are looking for at Prestatyn. Having worked with me previously, they will be big players in carrying out my message and the way I want my team to play. Both are Prestatyn lads who live in the area and went to school here. They’re still really young and I know they’ll improve as individuals and raise the team as a whole.
“Ross has a fantastic attitude and can play in a few different positions. He makes important tackles, reads the game well and is comfortable on the ball. Connor is an excellent passer of the ball, has very good game understanding and reads the play well. Both lads will enhance our squad and provide healthy competition for places. They were both very keen to come back to Town. Welcome home, boys.”
